10:30am & 4:00pm: Open & Bracketed Swiss Teams Field is grouped in brackets of 8 teams based on average masterpoint holdings of all team members. Top ‘Open’ bracket includes 8 teams with highest masterpoint totals and all other teams that elect to compete in the ‘Open’ bracket, regardless of masterpoint holdings. ‘Open’ and lowest brackets may have more than 8 teams, thus may not play all teams in their bracket. Remaining field is bracketed based on total masterpoint holdings of all team members. Teams must play both sessions. 7 rounds, 8 boards (lowest bracket 6 boards). 20 Victory Point scale for all brackets. Joe Knox was a long-time member of Unit #499 who encouraged numerous new players. He was a gentleman and a credit to the game of bridge.
