Time: 3 ½ hours. Cost: $40 per person Transportation: Included. Meet at 8:15 a.m. at the Mission Street Marriott Hotel entrance. On this City Tour by bus, an experienced and fascinating tour guide will accompany you. See Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, and the Fisherman’s Wharf areas. Drive through the beautiful residential areas of Pacific Heights, Presidio Heights and the Presidio. Stop at the Golden Gate Bridge and then proceed out to Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, and up to Twin Peaks with a superb citywide view! Return to the hotel through the famed Castro district.
Time: 1 hour cruise plus allow time to get to Pier 43 ½ and stay afterwards for possible sightseeing on your own of the Pier 39-Fisherman’s Wharf area. Cost: $16 per person (retail $21) Transportation: Not included. Take a taxi or the historic trolley “F-Line” ($.50 for seniors/students otherwise $1.50) outside the Marriott Hotel on Market St. Take to the foot of Taylor Street, less than a block walking from Pier 43 ½. Departing from Pier 43 ½, in the heart of the
historic Fisherman’s Wharf, your Bay Area cruise tour has views of the San
Francisco skyline, the lively neighborhood of North Beach, the famous
swimming clubs of Aquatic Park, the historic vessels at the Hyde Street
Pier, the San Francisco Maritime National Park and numerous other exciting
sights. Cruise by Fort Mason, the Marina District, the former Army
installations of Crissy Field and the lush hillsides of the Presidio. You
will have breathtaking photo opportunities of the Golden Gate National
Recreation Area as you steam UNDER the massive span of the Golden Gate
Bridge. Return past the wildlife reserves of the Marin County Headlands, the
legendary town of Sausalito, Angel Island State Park and infamous Alcatraz.
The famous barking sea lions of Pier 39 will welcome you back to Pier 43 ½,
where you can visit, on your own, two National Historic Landmarks, the WWII
submarine “U.S.S. Pampanito” and the merchant vessel “U.S.S. Jeremiah
O’Brien”.
Time: 4 hours. Cost: $45 per person includes all park entrance fees, bridge tolls and tips. Transportation: Included. Meet at 7:45 a.m. at the Mission Street Marriott Hotel entrance. Enjoy a “mini” city tour as you wind your way to the
Golden Gate Bridge, up through parts of beautiful Marin County to Muir
Woods, a 500-acre National Landmark and Park. You will have approximately
one hour to walk among the majestic California Redwoods (Sequoia
Sempervirens). Next it’s on to the charming coastal hamlet of Sausalito,
with incredible views of San Francisco and shopping in boutique stores. We
will spend about one hour in Sausalito before heading back to the Marriott
Hotel.
Time: 2 hours. Cost: No charge for tour however transportation, paid individually, will cost $1.50 per adult or $.50 for Senior/student with I.D. Transportation: Not included. Meet at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Marriott Hotel. Meet with experienced tour guide Dick Hart and
walk out to Market Street to board the historic “F-Line” streetcar, riding
to the foot of Market Street. After a brief orientation, including a bit of
San Francisco’s unique history and folklore, walk through the lobby of the
old Southern Pacific Building, cross Mission St. and view the 1930’s New
Deal/Works Project Administration fantastic murals, relics in the Rincon
Annex and the Rain Tower. Walk two blocks to the Embarcadero and out onto
Pier 14, weather permitting. Visit the Ferry Building and its fascinating
marketplace with unique restaurants and the plaza. Finish the tour with a
walk through Justin Herman Plaza to the new Muni Railroad Museum. Reboard
the “F-Line” and return to the Marriott Hotel.

Most likely, go early and have dinner in the famed North Beach area where Club Fugazi is located. Suggested transportation: Powell Street Cable Car ($5 each way) walk up Market Street one block west (away from the bay) to the foot of Powell Street. Buy a ticket from the vending machine and board the Powell Street cable car line (not Hyde St. line). Ride for 18 blocks and exit on Green Street. Walk 1 ½ blocks east (to your right) to Club Fugazi, 678 Green Street. Taxi or local buses. Due to the 21 year old drinking age in California (not the show content) NO ONE UNDER 21 IS ALLOWED. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is available at the club. We have our own sections of open seating in the balcony so no need to line-up hours early! This is a zany musical spoof of pop culture with
extravagant costumes and outrageously huge hats! Now in it’s 30th
year of sold-out performances, it is an internationally acclaimed San
Francisco institution. This show is SO FUN! It continually evolves in its
hilarious parodies of popular icons, updating its spoofs and adding new
characters, songs, and send-ups through the year. This happens to be the
longest running hit musical revue in theatre history. If we are sold-out,

Accompany official docent Jim Leuker on his journey to and from the Civic Center via the Market Street bus or MuniMetro. We’ll explore San Francisco’s beautiful City Hall, a Beaux Arts masterpiece, with the fifth largest dome in the world. For trivia buffs, it’s taller than the Capitol building in Washington D.C. and smaller only to St. Peter’s in Rome, Il Duomo in Florence, St. Paul’s in London and Les Invalides in Paris. Also tour the stunning War Memorial Opera House, the founding site of the United Nations. We will stroll through the Civic Center and admire other attractive buildings such as the Herbst Theatre, Davies Symphony Hall and the Public Library.
