The North American Pair (NAP) is a great event for extra points and a free
trip to the Nationals. lst place district winners in Flt. A, B and C
win roundtrip airfare & 3 nights lodging. 2nd place in Flt. A, B & C
win roundtrip airfare. 3rd place in Flt. A, B & C are invited to participate.

We first would like to thank Bill McIntosh for all those years of being coordinator and doing such a splendid job. You are the best!

Now is the time of the year for North American Pairs to begin and giving our members more opportunities to earn more mastepoints even at the club level.  Each club may hold two NAP qualification games per sanctioned session, per flight in June, July and August.  Unit qualification games start September 1, 2004.  District finals must be completed by January 16th, 2005.

At the unit level, any player who qualifies in any club may play with any other qualification player at any Unit in our district Club level games are 1/2 red and 1/2 black.  One session Unit level games are rated Red pts. and Dist. finals are Gold for first and overalls. 

Flight A - Open 
Flight B - less than 2000 pts. as of June 2004
Flight C - Non-Life Masters with fewer than 500 pts. as of June 2004

Flight C players may play in A,B,C. Flight B players may play in A or B.

In addition to masterpoint awards, the ACBL will award airfare & lodging for lst place district winners; airfare will be provided for 2nd place runner up teams. 3rd place teams are even invited to participate.  For more infomation you may go to http://ww.acbl.org

Meltzer Team  Wins D21 Open GNTeams 

Rose Meltzerís team of Rose Meltzer, Peter Weichsel, Kyle Larsen, Lou Stansby, Chip Martel, and Hugh Ross defeated the the Barlow team of Ed Barlow, Peter Friedland, Sally and Kitt Woolsey by 55 IMPs to win the Open Flight of the District 21 Open Grand National Teams. They now qualify to represent D21 at the National Finals in Long Beach, California during the just finished Summer NABC. Good Luck to them and all of District 21ís Grand National Teams qualifiers in the A, B, and C Flights.
